Washington, D.C. – House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) released the below statement following House passage of H.R. 757, the North Korea Sanctions Enforcement Act of 2016.
“Just last week, North Korea allegedly tested a nuclear weapon, threatening our allies and the stability in the region. In the absence of a swift response from the Administration, the House took strong action today to impose tougher sanctions on North Korea to restrict the regime’s access to capital. We will not allow this rogue regime to further develop their nuclear capabilities.”Â
