WASHINGTON, D.C.—House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) released the following statement following House passage of the Save Local Business Act, a bill which reverses burdensome Obama-era regulations and increases transparency between small businesses and their employees.
“Unelected Washington bureaucrats shouldn’t be making it harder for Americans to create jobs, but that’s exactly what has happened under radical Obama-era decisions by the Department of Labor and National Labor Relations Board. Our legislation will help small businesses and workers by getting Washington out of the way and restoring transparency and confidence between employees and their employers. I applaud Chairman Byrne and the rest of my colleagues for their hard work in crafting and passing this bipartisan legislation, and I encourage the Senate to act quickly so we can put this bill on President Trump’s desk.”
