WASHINGTON, D.C.— House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) made the following statement regarding the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act out of the Ways and Means Committee:
“I want to commend Chairman Kevin Brady and all of the members of the Ways and Means Committee for their tireless work in pursuit of delivering tax relief to hardworking Americans. Today’s passage of our bill out of committee marks a huge step in fulfilling our pledge to grow our economy, bring jobs back home, and allow workers and families to keep more of their hard-earned paychecks. Now we must deliver on our promises to the American people and pass this bill so we are one step closer to President Trump signing it into law.”
