WASHINGTON, D.C.—House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) released the following statement on the passing of former New Orleans City Councilman Bryan Wagner:
“Bryan Wagner was a great friend, a true gentleman who dedicated so much of his life to serving New Orleans and growing the Republican Party. He will always be remembered not only for his achievements, but for the strong example he set by building real friendships across the aisle and never allowing political disagreements to become personal. Jennifer and I are saddened by Bryan’s passing, and we send our love and prayers to Judy and the entire Wagner family.”
