Unemployment Rate Hits Historic Low with Manufacturing Jobs on the Rise

WASHINGTON, D.C.—For the second time this year, the unemployment rate has reached a historic low, dropping from 4.1% earlier this year to 3.9% this month. America has not maintained such low levels of unemployment since the 1960sa clear sign that the Republican-passed Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is working for the economy and the American people. Helping to fuel these low unemployment numbers is increased hiring across all industries, including the manufacturing industry.

Here are the Nuts and Bolts:

Business is booming again in America as more than 500 companies have announced pay raises, bonuses, better benefits or increased hiring since passage of the new tax law. While Democrats tried to manufacture controversy with their false attacks against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Republicans got to work assembling a package of tax cuts that cranked our economy into high gear and American families are reaping the benefits.
