WASHINGTON, D.C.—It’s been just over two months since the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was signed into law, but Americans are already seeing real benefits. Not only are 9 out of 10 Americans seeing more money in their own paychecks, but headlines like these three—all from today—show Americans that pro-growth reforms in Washington from tax cuts to regulatory roll-backs are helping the whole economy.

 

“U.S. jobless claims fall to lowest level since 1969”

MarketWatch reports that as jobless claims fall to the lowest rate since man first walked on the moon, Americans are experiencing “the strongest labor market since the end of the dotcom boom nearly two decades ago,” while the “unemployment rate is at a 17-year low of 4.1% and companies are still seeking to fill millions of jobs.”

 

“Manufacturing in U.S. Expands at Fastest Pace Since May 2004”  

Bloomberg reports that “U.S. factories expanded in February at the fastest rate since May 2004, indicating sustained strength in manufacturing as demand remains solid,” as “[i]n addition to firmer overseas and domestic sales, corporate optimism is getting a lift from the recent tax-cut law and reduced regulation.”

 

“Real Disposable Incomes in U.S. Increase Most Since 2015”

Bloomberg reports that “Americans’ wallets fattened in January on recent tax cuts, indicating increased spending power may boost the economy this quarter… The data, covering the first month since the tax law was signed in December, reflected a $30 billion increase in one-time bonuses and a $115.5 billion annualized drop in personal taxes, the Commerce Department said.”

 

Meanwhile, 4 million workers (and counting) are seeing other benefits from this historic tax cuts bill as businesses across the country provide billions of dollars in bonuses, pay raises, and new investments that will continue to get our economy back on track.

 

With the good news continuing to come, when will Washington Democrats finally acknowledge they were wrong about the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act?

 

Remember: In addition to characterizing thousand-dollar bonuses for working families as “crumbs,” Democrats called the tax cuts bill “Armageddon,” a “plunder[ing] of the middle class,” “one of the greatest robberies in American history,” harming children like “Tiny Tim,” tens of thousands more Americans dying each year, and a “heist that would steal from millions of middle-class families.”
