WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) today issued a statement regarding House passage of multiple pieces of legislation to fight the flow of foreign fighters, and enhance the security and screening processes at our airports:

“The safety and security of the American people is our first priority. Unfortunately, there are bad actors in the world wishing to do harm to our people and our way of life. For this reason, the House took action today requiring the President to submit a national strategy to combat terrorist travel, as well as to enhance and streamline the critical security and screening processes at our airports. The House will continue working to keep Americans safe from the threat of radical terrorists.”
