WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) released the following statement regarding House passage of the Hire More Heroes Act, H.R. 22, sponsored by Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.).
“After serving our nation with honor and distinction, America’s veterans should not have to be held back from finding work due to the burdens of Obamacare,” Rep. Scalise said. “The Hire More Heroes Act is bipartisan legislation that helps our brave men and women who have served our nation find meaningful employment by making a commonsense change to Obamacare that encourages small businesses to hire veterans. There are basic commitments we owe to our veterans, and that includes helping our heroes find great employment opportunities after their service to our country. I would like to thank Congressman Rodney Davis for introducing this much-needed legislation and for the leadership he has displayed on behalf of our nation’s veterans.”
