WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) today issued the below statement following House passage of H.R. 734, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Consolidated Reporting Act of 2015, legislation to reduce the reporting workload and increase the efficiency of the FCC. H.R. 734 passed the House unanimously with a vote of 411-0. Rep. Scalise introduced this bill on Feb. 4.

“Today’s vote is a crucial step in streamlining the way the FCC does business – a long, overdue reform,” Rep. Scalise said. “This legislation will not only help the FCC operate more efficiently, it will bring its processes into the 21st century and help it operate in a manner consistent with the innovative era in which we live.”
