WASHINGTON, D.C.—House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) today announced that Lauren Fine will take on the role of communications director in the Republican Whip Office.

“Lauren has been a key part of my press team for the past two years, and I am proud to name her as my communications director,” said Whip Scalise. “From helping drive our message on major legislative victories, to skillfully managing the press following the Congressional Baseball Game shooting and my return to both Congress and the ball field, Lauren has proven herself to be an invaluable asset in communicating our message to the public, and I am glad to have her in this role as we expose the radical Democrat agenda and fight for our conservative priorities.”

Lauren Fine has served as the press secretary in Scalise’s Whip Office since February of 2017. Prior to joining the Whip team, she served on the press team of Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and worked as a producer at Fox News. At 26, she is the youngest female communications director in House Leadership.
